美国爱荷华大学SAT成绩要求

　　一.大学简介

　　爱荷华大学(The University of Iowa)，又称艾奥瓦大学，成立于1847年，为一所研究型大学，在国际上享有声誉。爱荷华大学属于久负盛名的美国大学协会成员(Association of American Universities，简称AAU，亦翻译为北美大学联盟)，该协会由61所世界公认的美国名校和加拿大的多伦多大学、麦吉尔大学组成。同时，爱荷华大学也是著名的十大联盟〔Big Ten〕所属学校之一，被美国社会誉为“公立常青藤大学”之一。爱荷华大学尤其以医学院、法学院、商学院知名。爱荷华大学是美国二级国家级大学，2015年全美综合排名71名。

　　二.国际考生考试要求International First-Year Student Admission

　　SAT or ACT scores are not required of international applicants who completed secondary school outside the United States; however, SAT or ACT scores are required of first-year applicants who wish to be considered for academic and athletic scholarships, admission to the College of Engineering, Direct Admission to the Tippie College of Business, the Early Decision Program to the College of Nursing, or for the University of Iowa Honors Program.

　　· SAT and ACT scores also can be used to satisfy the university’s English proficiency requirements.

　　· The university encourages all applicants to take either exam, as strong results could favorably affect the decision regarding your application.

　　对于美国地区以外的国际考生来说，原则上是不要要提交SAT成绩或ACT的，但是如果考生想要申请奖学金，或者是申请工程学院，商学院，护理学院后者是荣誉项目的考生则需要参加这些考试。

　　三.英语语言能力要求English Proficiency Requirements

　　Applicants whose first language is not English must submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for admission to the university. Some alternatives to the TOEFL are accepted, as described below.

　　对于英语为非第一语言的考生来说，需要参加语言测试，国际考生可是选择TOEFL或IELTS。

　　Minimum TOEFL Score Requirements for Admission

　　Internet-based test (iBT): 80 with no subscore lower than 17

　　Paper-based test (PBT): 530

　　English Proficiency Evaluation—Admitted students will also need to take an on-campus English Proficiency Evaluation unless they have a TOEFL score of 100 or higher on the iBT or 600 or higher on the PBT.
