This program requires a multidisciplinary background to help prepare students for careers in the fast-growing areas of international trade and development. Students seek careers with corporations, the Peace Corps, private voluntary agencies, and national and international government agencies.

Applicant should have completed secondary school or high school Certification. They should have SAT Reasoning Test or ACT plus Writing Test Scores and Virginia Tech's CEEB code is 5859; the ACT code is 4420. Applicants whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and Virginia Tech's CEEB code is (5859).

Applicant can submit the completed application form through online or paper application with $70 non refundable application fee. They can pay the online application fee through electronically with either a debit or credit card (MasterCard or VISA), or an electronic check. They should submit copies of their diplomas or school leaving certificates; Transcript/Statement of Marks; Financial Certification Form; F-1 or J-1 Transfer Clearance Form; Official Letter or Statement from Parents or Sponsors Bank; Sponsorship Letter; Permanent Resident Alien Card (if applicable); SAT Reasoning Test or ACT Plus Writing Test Scores (Virginia Tech's CEEB code is 5859; the ACT code is 4420); and TOEFL Scores. All the documents must be mailed to Virginia Tech, Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 201 Burruss Hall, Blacksburg, Virginia 24061. TOEFL score documents must be received on or before March 01.
