Civil engineers have the opportunity to work in a variety of fields, from hydrology and the design of sanitary systems to the development of transportation systems and the design of the structures used every day.

The Candidates to be admitted to Northern Arizona University must meet the general requirements described below: Evidence of Academic Achievement: Students must have completed secondary school, and official school documents - transcripts or mark sheets - must reflect academic success. Students academic record must show at least a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) or equivalent to be admissible to Northern Arizona University. English Language Proficiency: If English is not students first or native language, they must demonstrate English-language proficiency. This can be done in one of the following ways: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of 70 on the new Internet-based TOEFL (iBT), 193 on the computer-based TOEFL (CBT), or 525 on the paper-based test (PBT) taken within the past 2 years. IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of band 6.0 or better. ACT (English sub-score of 21 is required) or SAT (verbal score of 510 is required).Scores must be received from the testing organization (copies are not acceptable); Evidence of Financial Support and Financial Guarantee; Complete Application Packet.

SAT verbal score of 530 or higher; Students having completed high school/secondary education in countries where English is an official language may demonstrate English proficiency by providing one of the following: proof of four years high school English (composition and literature-based) with passing grades, minimum score of 21 on the ACT or 530 on the SAT, one three-semester-hour course in English composition taken at the post-secondary level completed with a passing grade; Financial support documentation.
