This program focuses on skills and knowledge critical for a life of learning and leading to careers in management, the public sector, academics, and the professions. A degree in economics is especially appropriate for students intending to pursue advanced degrees in the social sciences and in professional schools of management, law, and public administration.

课程要求：

Students should have score of the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT I). The scores must be sent directly from the testing agency to Georgia Tech. Regardless of the system in which student have been educated, they must earn a minimum score of 440 on the verbal portion of the SAT I to be considered for admission. Based on figures from previous years, they combined math and verbal SAT I score should be better than 1300 to be competitive for admission. Students should have official English translation and a document-by-document evaluation of the high school coursework. The document-by-document evaluation must be prepared by an accredited foreign credential evaluation service that names and describes all diplomas, certificates, degrees, periods of education or training and gives U.S. equivalences for each. This evaluation must also include a GPA.

Students should submit the application along with $50 non-refundable application fee, drawn on either a U.S. bank or on a U.S. dollar account. The International Applicant Financial Statement Form has to be completed. Scores of the SAT I have to be sent directly to the college. Submit an official English translation and a document-by-document evaluation of the high school coursework.
