In this program those students who study human-environmental interaction in the Department of Geography at The University of Iowa have the opportunity to learn from leading experts in landscape ecology, environmental sampling, land use/land cover change, and computer simulation.

课程要求：

Bachelor’s degree from a Regionally Accredited American college or university, or an equivalent degree from another country as determined by the Office of Admissions. A minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00, or the foreign equivalent as determined by the Office of Admissions. An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) total score of 7.0, with no subscore less than 6.0, may be used to satisfy the English-language requirement. All IELTS test takers will be required to take the on-campus English Proficiency Evaluation.

Photocopy of the official GRE results (and TOEFL scores if applicable). Three letters of recommendation sent directly from instructors or other persons familiar with the intellectual attainments, on the referee’s letterhead. A statement of purposes, goals, and special interests relevant to the application to American Studies.
