This program acknowledges the need for the interior design profession to remain active in providing for the safety, convenience, and aesthetic satisfaction of users in the 21st century and beyond. The location of the program in the College of Human Environmental Science’s Department of Clothing, Textiles and Interior Design ensures that students develop a design philosophy which focuses on users and their changing needs. The program strives to create student motivation for excellence based in the knowledge of the principles and elements of design and their appropriate application to the built environment. Faculty are committed to providing opportunities for students to develop a multi-cultural and global awareness through class projects, lectures, and other opportunities as they present themselves. The program strives to foster an understanding of the importance of cultural diversity in the professional preparation of its students.

Students should perform above the average; they must have completed their secondary school cycle or must have qualified by examination for admission to a university in their home country. The minimum score of TOEFL are 173 computer-based, 500 paper-based, or 61 Internet-based. The ACT of 28 or better or SAT of 1240 or better are required.

课程详情：

Students must submit a completed application. The application fee is $30 for online applications and $35 for paper applications (non-refundable). They must also submit the Certification of Finances and a bank letter for evidence of financial support; Proof of financial support; Certified, translated transcripts of mark sheets (Grades 9 through completion) together with photocopies of examination results, degrees, diplomas, or certificates awarded. Copies must be certified by a public or school official. Official SAT or ACT and TOEFL score reports. All the materials should be forwarded to Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Box 870132, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0132.
