The goals of the interior design program maximize the program’s location and resources and embrace change as a constant variable in the learning environment. The program strives to: prepare entry level interior designers to work effectively with professionals from other disciplines engaged in the planning, design and management of the built environment; Engage interior design students in the exploration of design within broad cultural contexts, addressing both regional and international contributions to the design of the built environment while utilizing resources across and beyond the campus; Integrate the expressive qualities embodied in the practice of interior design within the context of a technological learning environment; Capitalize upon the design practice and design management expertise of the faculty by engaging students in effective and appropriate problemsolving experiences involving student-centered research of the built environment.

课程要求：

Students should possess graduation from an accredited high school or they should have received a GED. The high school curricular core requirements should include the following courses: 4 units of English, 3 units of college prep math, 3 units of laboratory science, 3 units of history and citizenship and 2 additional units. An official TOEFL score of 550 on the paper-based test (213 on the computer-based test or 79 on the internet-based test), IELTS score of 6.5 and cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) is required.

Students should submit the application along with an application fee. In addition to these, they need to submit an official TOEFL score report directly from the Educational Testing Service or official IELTS score report, bank statements and letters of financial support, official, complete academic credentials (i.e., mark sheets, degree certificates, transcripts, etc.) and a clear photocopy of the biographic page and expiration date of the passport.
