美国研究生申请中的文书类型

　　大众类型2(Statement of Purpose)

　　适用专业：学术性强、研究型强的专业，包括大部分理工专业，文科专业或博士

　　粗浅地来说，Statementof Purpose和PersonalStatement并无差异，有学校自己就解释过两者是一样的，大部分情况下，通用也是没问题的，但细微的差别也有，Statement of Purpose可以说更为学术一些。

　　这类文书也是大爱，多数学校也都是只要求SP，字数也在300-1000words不等，内容要求一般大同小异，主要包括：

　　你具体的求学目的

　　具体的兴趣和计划

　　过往经历如何以及影响

　　题目列举：

　　Duke University @ M.S.in Electrical Engineering

　　-your purposes and objectives in pursuing graduate study;

　　-your special interests and plans;

　　-your strengths and weaknesses in yourchosen field; any research projects or any independent research in which you have actively participated and how they have influenced your career choice anddesire to pursue graduate studies; and any particular reasons you may have for applying to Duke (e.g. you would like to work with a specific faculty member).

　　Georgetown University @ Masters Degree in Applied Economics

　　The personal statement should address your intellectual interests, academic and professional objectives, and proposedtopic(s) of graduate study. )

　　Essay善类(Career Goal)

　　常见专业：商科硕士

　　商学院最喜欢问职业目标了，许多商科硕士并没有要求PS或SP，取而代之的是名为Career Goal的Essay，因为商科是最为职业化的专业类别

　　这类文书也比较好写，通常都会这样问：

　　长短期职业目标

　　为什么有这样的目标

　　为什么申请该专业该学校
